Most of  my artwork you will find in my website has been created since 2003 when I first started painting.  Some of my pencil drawings I have displayed are from before my discovery of painting.
I have made strong attempts to make sure I don't fall into one specific category of art such as: (just animals and wildlife, just sports,  just portraits, etc). I love the challenge of something new to create and the excitement of every new project is that challenge.  I also want to be known as a well rounded artist which I hope will attract more art lovers to call on me for their projects.
Over the years, I have made friends with various artists that I can call upon if I felt they would be better suited for a specific project, so no project is out of the question.

Since 2003, I have really enjoyed painting with acrylics the most and prefer to chose this medium for most of my art.  One of my goals is to focus on painting more murals in homes such as a game room, theme garage, kids rooms, etc.     Since I have chosen to keep my art as a paid hobby and not my full time occupation, I have managed to keep my prices lower and more affordable than many other professional artists.

As of  June 1st, 2009, I have begun to make prints of some of my art. As demand grows, I will continue to create more prints and eventually move toward Limited Edition and Limited Edition Canvas prints...this is something I am very looking forward to doing. Please contact me for print availability. Also feel free to contact me for any other inquiries you may have about my art.

Please enjoy your time as you journey through my website and thanks for stopping by.

Andy has since lost that battle.Memories live on
The story behind this rock painting is located on my "about me" page.I did this great blue heron painting during a school auction held at Clayburn Middle. I started the painting during the auction so bidders could watch the painting being created before them as they bid on items. This was one of very first paintings during art workshops at Clayburn Middle. I was still wet behind the ears when I painted this eagle.I started painting this grizzly during a garage sale I had held just so people could see me paint. I originally had more of the head of the grizzly in the painting but it wasn't turning out so I simply airbrushed it out and this was the end result.I painted and donated this Roberto Luongo painting for a Cancer Awareness and New Years dance. In 2007, a friend thought I should enter an Canadian wide art contest held by The Canadian Lacrosse Foundation. This was my very first art contest ever and won first place. Limited edition Prints and posters can be purchased at: http://www.lacrosse.ca/CLF/GPaterson.htmI just like monkeys...they make me laugh. I gave this painting to my mother to bring her a laugh as well.I was commissioned by a co-worker to create a painting for his wife for their anniversary. This was another commissioned painting for a c-worker of mine. I added the smaller owl in the corner at the last minute becuase I thought the painting looked too empty...I'm glad I made that decision. Close-up of owl paintingI created these two parrots during another 2 day art workshop at Clayburn MIddle. I had the students enter a draw to win the painting at the end of the two days.I am very fortunate to have a wonderful boss who has allowed me to use some warehouse space at work for an art studio. The much needed space allows me to be more flexable and creative. This is me and my wonderful boss Tom. The company commissioned me to paint a picture of his beloved 67 Chevelle for a Christmas present. This photo was taken during my second day on the job when we presented him with the painting.Commissioned pirates chest for a baby room. It apparently it was to hold diapers. This is another commisioned painting by a co-worker.I paintined and donated this paddle for the Spirit Abreast Dragon Boat Team breast cancer auction.Yet again, the same canvas reused for another painting demonstration for the Abbotsford Arts Council. This photo was taken during a city rally to build a new arts centre in Abbotsford. It was just a demonstration and the painting was covered over later so the canvas could be reused for another painting demonsrtation. Here's that same canvas during another paintingdemonstration for the Abbotsford Arts Council...yes, they painted over it...again.This painting was commissioned by a friend of mine. I had a few issues with the background. I changed the background a half a dozen times until I finally came up with this one. My first painting I have completely airbrushed.
